Raza steers Zimbabwe to 153-7 against South Africa
Skipper Sikandar Raza hit 73 to guide Zimbabwe to 153-7 against South Africa in their last T20 World Cup Super Eights match on Sunday.
Zimbabwe, who have already been eliminated, elected to bat first in New Delhi and despite losing regular wickets Raza held up one end with his first fifty of the tournament.
Runners-up in 2024, South Africa are the only unbeaten team and are set to head to Kolkata for a semi-final against New Zealand on Wednesday.
Aiden Makram's side made three changes to rest bowlers before the semi-finals.
In came fast bowlers Anrich Nortje and Kwena Maphaka for Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen.
Left-arm spinner George Linde replaced Keshav Maharaj.
Zimbabwe lost their openers early.
The in-form Brian Bennett, who hit an unbeaten 97 in the defeat to India, was out for 15 when caught by Markram off Anrich Nortje.
Raza reached his fifty off 29 balls before falling to left-armer Maphaka, caught by David Miller off a leading edge.
Clive Madande boosted the total with 26 not out off 20 balls at the end.
Maphaka took 2-21 from his four overs and Corbin Bosch 2-40.
